Artist Statement
| To me, creation without a purpose is empty. In fact, it is almost impossible, for creation is intricately tied to the artist’s self: the artist’s values, thoughts, dreams and opinions. Therefore, I believe that every artist should echo his or her values and opinions into their creation.I believe in creating art for children, and for every child within a grown up. Entertaining children is not enough for me; I want my art to impact the adults, urging them to rediscover the hidden kid in them. Indeed, my work aims to recall the innocence, the dreams and magic adults might have felt when they were young. Meanwhile, I hope to encourage the children to continue holding onto their thoughts and imagination till they have to grow up. |
